Goldie Socks and the Three Libearians
If you want to teach your students to find a "just right" book - not too hard and not too easy - this is a story you should share. It uses the outline from the well-known story "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" to help students learn this concept as well as how to put books back on the shelf and clean up after themselves when they are done finding their books. This would be a wonderful story to share at the beginning of the year as you introduce your students to your MIRP routines and procedures or as a reminder during the course of the year..

The authors of this book have developed a model for retelling that will enable you to lead students from supported concrete retelling to abstract analytical retelling.
